First Look ‘Hellraiser’ Photos Reveal Jamie Clayton’s Pinhead And A New Cenobite

Once again, we have such sights to show you thanks to some exclusive photos from David Bruckner’s upcoming reimagining of Hellraiser, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. These photos reveal our first look at Jamie Clayton as Pinhead and a new Cenobite that has been dubbed “The Mask”.
In the new Hellraiser film:
“A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”
In his interview with EW, Bruckner made sure to clarify that his version of Hellraiser is not a remake. I just didn’t think you could ever remake the original Hellraiser. It’s too much its own thing and it would be, I think, perilous territory for filmmakers, because how do you top that?” he told EW. “This is a new story in the Hellraiser universe.”

The new Cenobite is downright terrifying. It’s also a delightful taste of what this new hellish world has in store for us. Bruckner told EW, “The Mask is one of my favorite Cenobites and it’s just a tease of really what’s to come as far as the Cenobites are concerned.” And, according to Bruckner, there are more new Cenobites for us to sink our teeth into. I do hope Chatterer makes an appearance. I love that weird boy.
Clive Barker was the mad genius behind the original Hellraiser and the novella it’s based on, “The Hellbound Heart”. Now, he’s a part of this new film as a producer. Bruckner told EW that Barker was very involved in the development of the script. “He was really generous with his time, and very welcoming of the idea that this was a new group of artists, and that they were going to run with this and land in different places with it,” the filmmaker said.
Odessa A’Zion, Goran Visnjic, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, Kit Clarke, and Hiam Abbass star in the film.
Hellraiser hits Hulu on October 7, 2022.
