America’s Favorite Stephen King Movies By State, According to Science

Stephen King is arguably America’s greatest horror writer. Not only has he sold more scary books than any other author, but there’s also an undoubtedly American quality to so many of his stories. From the majestic snowy Colorado slopes of The Shining to the quaint Maine coastal island setting of Dolores Claiborne, King’s work is etched and ingrained in the landscape of America. This marriage of his writing to the map of the USA makes the following study even more interesting.

The fine folks at USdish did the work of uncovering the most searched Stephen King film title in every state in the USA. It’s fascinating to see how each state resonates with the works of King, often identifying closely with stories that take place nearby.
