‘The Menu’ Trailer: Anya Taylor-Joy Fights For Her Life In New Culinary Horror

The Menu

Hulu’s The Bear showed the world the intensity of working in a kitchen, especially when working with a chef with fine-dining experience. There’s a lot of yelling “yes, chef” and working as fast as humanly possible to keep the chef happy. But this is also ripe for horror movie pickings. Director Mark Mylod and writers Seith Reiss & Will Tracy tap right into that with their upcoming film The Menu.

A couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travels to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.

Here, it’s kitchen staff against patrons, which honestly feels like the service industry experience in a nutshell. Only here, it’s a little more life and death.

John Leguizamo, Judith Light, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Paul Adelstein, Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro, and Mark St. Cyr also star in The Menu.

The Menu comes to theaters on November 18, 2022.
