Exclusive Video: Fede Alvarez and Jane Levy on the New Evil Dead (MAJOR SPOILERS!)It’s almost time, fiends! We’re just a day away from co-writer/director Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead, which arrives in theaters this weekend. Even though we had the opportunity to chat with him in Austin at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, a four-minute interview is just never enough.

That being said, Dread Central headed out for the Evil Dead press day to talk some more about the remake with Alvarez and the film’s star, Jane Levy.

This time around, though, we had more time and dug a little deeper into the story and the characters so be forewarned- THIS VIDEO IS VERY SPOILER-HEAVY and is meant to be enjoyed once you’ve checked out Evil Dead for yourself.

Ghost House Pictures is producing the much anticipated remake of The Evil Dead, the film that effectively launched the careers of Sam Raimi (Spider-Man franchise, Darkman, Drag Me to Hell), Rob Tapert (30 Days of Night), and Bruce Campbell, who played the Ash character and was co-producer of the original. They are now back to produce an Evil Dead for today’s audience that’s high on the horror, gore, plot twists, and more from a screenplay written by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues with Diablo Cody. Executive producers are J.R. Young, Nathan Kahane, Joseph Drake, and Peter Schlessel.

Synopsis
