Remakes, remakes, remakes … They are everywhere, aren’t they? Some have been done right like 2004’s Dawn of the Dead, and some like this year’s Omen had many seeing red long after they left the theatre. So what can we say so far about the retelling of George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead?
By looking at the exclusive pictures Fangoria received, it is certain that there will be plenty of gruesome zombies thanks to Dean and Starr Jones, who created the makeup FX for Night of the Living Dead 3-D.
Could there be an even more gruesome death in store for Captain Rhodes (Ving Rhames) this time around? Maybe that twiggy Mena Suvari will get pulled apart and tea-bagged during a zombie orgy gone wrong. Perhaps that’s reserved for another outstanding film from Asylum?
Can scientists and army personnel live together in harmony after the dead have taken over the world? Can a cure be found for the living dead? Will Bub return to do a drum line dance combo with Nick Cannon? We’ll find out next year!
