Severin Films’ theatrical rollout of Jim VanBebber’s award-winning The Manson Family begins this weekend, and we have all the details, including a special treat for audiences in San Francisco and Denver.
From the Press Release:
The first screenings of The Manson Family are taking place this Friday night and Saturday night, March 22nd and 23rd, at the Clay Theatre in San Francisco and the Esquire Theatre in Denver. These two events will also include the very first showings of VanBebber’s Gator Green short film, a thriller about a veteran who returns from the war to take over the operation of an alligator farm in Florida. Much madness, mayhem, and murder ensue.

The Manson Family delivers an uncompromising, brutal vision of the collapse of the “Love Generation.” On a ranch outside of LA the hippie dream is perverting into something evil. What was once an oasis of free love and acid trips has become ground zero for a madman’s paranoid visions. An average group of kids, the “Family,” become engulfed in a delusional world where torment and slaughter are considered the path to righteousness. The Manson Family is a dizzying, rapid-fire vision of the sex and violence that unifies the misguided group and, at the direction of their leader, ends in a brutal spree leaving seven people dead in 48 hours.
