Just the other day a reader questioned us as to whether we’d ever see an official soundtrack from “The Walking Dead,” and lo and behold, today we have the answer… along with the ability to share Vol. 1 with you guys!
The Walking Dead: Original Soundtrack – Vol. 1 is now available from Universal Republic at all the usual locations, and you can also listen to it on Rdio, the groundbreaking digital music streaming service that provided us with the following player:
Synopsis:
Showcasing music featured on AMC’s Emmy Award-winning American horror drama TV series, the new soundtrack proves essential listening for zombie enthusiasts everywhere. It even includes a track by popular character Hershel Greene’s daughters, Beth and Maggie, played by Emily Kinney and Lauren Cohan, for a powerful folk song “The Parting Glass.” The soundtrack also includes Baby Bee’s guitar-heavy zombie blues jam “Love Bug” and Jamie N Commons’ soulful “Lead Me Home” as well as previously unreleased material like “Sinking Man” from folk sensation Of Monsters and Men, an UNKLE remix of composer Bear McCreary’s “Main Title Theme Song,” and Delta Spirit’s “Running.” Just like the show, the soundtrack is impactful and full of unforgettable moments.
