‘The Long Walk’: A Young Boy Meets A Strange Time-Traveling Ghost In This Exclusive Clip
With her previous films Chanthaly and Dearest Sister, Lao-based director Mattie Do made history as Laos’ first and only woman filmmaker. And, she’s also the only filmmaker in the country to work in the horror genre. Now, with her third feature film The Long Walk, Do continues to blaze forward as a filmmaker within the genre and within the world cinema canon.
In The Long Walk, an old scavenger living on the fringes of a near-future society exploits a ghostly companion’s ability to traverse time. With her, he hopes to prevent his mother’s suffering from a terminal illness.
