We’ve been talking up E.L. Katz’s new film Cheap Thrills for a while now leading up to its successful premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival, and the flick definitely impressed. So much so that it was the first film at the event to land distro.
According to Deadline, Drafthouse Films and Snoot Entertainment took theatrical, home video, and VOD rights to SXSW Midnight selection Cheap Thrills.
The E.L. Katz directed film stars David Koechner, Ethan Embry, Amanda Fuller, and Innkeepers costars Pat Healy and Sara Paxton.
The script by Trent Haaga (Deadgirl) and David Chirchirillo tells the story of a new father facing eviction whose life is turned upside down when he meets a wealthy couple who offer him a path to a better life… but at a price.
