A Nightmarish Cult Viciously Terrorizes Scout-Taylor Compton In ‘The Long Night’ [Trailer]
Cults? Check. People wearing antlers? Check. Scout Taylor-Compton getting possessed? Check. Well Go USA’s latest horror film The Long Night has it all, according to its brand new trailer.
Watch it now:
While searching for the parents she’s never known, New York transplant Grace (Scout Taylor-Compton) returns to her childhood southern stomping grounds with her boyfriend (Nolan Gerard Funk) to investigate a promising lead on her family’s whereabouts. Upon arrival, the couple’s weekend takes a bizarre, terrifying turn as a nightmarish cult and their maniacal leader terrorize the pair en route to fulfilling a twisted ancient apocalyptic prophecy.
The trailer for The Long Night looks nasty and gory as hell. Also, who isn’t a sucker for cult members wearing deer skulls as part of their rituals? It’s a tried-and-true classic and we’re here for it. Perhaps The Long Night will tread into folk horror territory, too. Nothing like a good cult folk horror to start 2022 off on the right foot.
Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II), Nolan Gerard Funk (House At The End Of The Street), and Deborah Kara Unger (Silent Hill) star in the film.
Rich Ragsdale directed The Long Night. Robert Sheppe, Mark Young wrote the script.
The Long Night opens in select theaters and comes to digital on Friday, February 4, 2022.
