Dinner Preparations are Racked With Tension and Repulsion in This Exclusive Clip From ‘The Feast’

The Feast, a tense new horror feature from director Lee Haven Jones’, is performed entirely in the Welsh language and entrenched in traditional folklore.
Starring Annes Elwy, Lisa Palfrey, and Caroline Berry, The Feast premiered in the Midnighters section of SXSW Film Festival 2021. The film follows a mysterious young woman who arrives to serve affluent guests at a dinner party in a remote house in the Welsh mountains. What the privileged guests don’t realize is that they are about to partake in their last supper.
Before it opens in theaters and on demand tomorrow, Dread Central is exclusively debuting a clip from The Feast.
In this scene, Cadi (Elwy), the aforementioned strange woman, is distressed by the sight of a freshly killed rabbit she’s asked to skin. Her revulsion toward the dead animal, and toward the couple who want her to help prepare it for dinner, seems to be a catalyst for something far more grim. This footage from The Feast is a small sampling of the film’s central themes of greed, class, and privilege, all of which helped garner its strong critical reception.
