Exclusive: Found Footage Series Bad Ben Announces Its Ninth Installment

In 2016, Nigel Bach picked up a camera and made a little found footage movie named Bad Ben. Bach not only directed, wrote, and shot the film, but he stars in it, as well. It’s a true indie project, made with just a few hundred dollars and a dream. Now, five years and a cult following later, Bach is back with the ninth film in the series: Bad Ben: Benign. We love a good pun.

Bad Ben: Benign once again follows Tom Riley, who wanders out of the woods behind his home on Steelmanville Road, and must climb through the window to get inside. He is baffled by objects in the house that aren’t his and things moving on their own. He soon finds himself dealing with evil forces that cause him to rely on the help of others to try and figure out once and for all how to rid the house of evil…including the most powerful demon he has ever faced!

Tom Riley has gone through hell with this house, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon. He’s entered parallel dimensions, drop-kicked knife-wielding dolls, ran around in his underwear on camera, and more. Like he says in the trailer, “I’ve done this before, I’ll do it again.”

The Bad Ben series has gathered quite the social media following, with thousands of fans calling themselves Bennites. From the original film to the prequels to Bach has achieved the indie filmmaking dream, creating a tight-knit community around his work.

The ninth film in this viral sensation found footage horror series is having its Home Entertainment release on October 26. The film will be available on iTunes, Google Play, Xbox, Vudu, Dish Network/Dish Digital, as well as from local cable and satellite providers.
