I Know What You Did Last Summer‘s cast anticipated this trailer drop as much as the series’ devotees. In another video, stars Sebastian Amoruso, Ezekiel Goodman, Madison Iseman, Ashley Moore, and Brianne Tju, huddle in front of the big screen to react to their on-screen selves.

Here are their reactions:

“It does a great job setting up all these different scenarios we get in,” Iseman says. “In the context of the trailer, I don’t know how anyone would try to figure out how that all comes together.”

“There are so many misleads, in the best possible way,” Amoruso adds. When he jokes that “I think we need to go around and say who we think the killer is,” Tju quips, “It’s Jennifer Love Hewitt, obviously.”

“It is a scary and gory and sexy show, right guys?,” asks Goodman, rhetorically. His co-stars are quick to agree and are eager to rewatch what they just saw.

Here’s the official synopsis for I Know What You Did Last Summer:

Written and executive produced by Sara Goodman, I Know What You Did Last Summer is based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel, which was also the basis of the iconic 1997 film. One year after the fatal car accident that haunted their graduation night, a group of teenagers find themselves bound together by a dark secret and stalked by a brutal killer. As they try to piece together who’s after them, they reveal the dark side of their seemingly perfect town—and themselves. Everyone is hiding something, and uncovering the wrong secret could be deadly.

I Know What You Did Last Summer premieres exclusively on Amazon Prime Video October 15, 2021.
