Two new featurettes have arrived for The Host, providing some behind-the-scenes scoop on two of the main characters in the film, Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) and Jared Howe (Max Irons).
Open Road Films is releasing The Host, based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel, on March 29, 2013, in the US. Look for it in the UK on the same day from Entertainment Film Distributors. It was directed by Andrew Niccol, who also wrote the screenplay. It stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel, Max Irons, Boyd Holbrook, and Frances Fisher.
Synopsis:
What if everything you love was taken from you in the blink of an eye? When an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over their bodies and erasing their memories, Melanie Stryder (Ronan) will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about — Jared (Irons), Ian (Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (Hurt), proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world.
