SUNDOWN: THE VAMPIRE IN RETREAT Arrives on Blu-Ray!
Back in 1989, horror icon Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) starred in an understated vampire flick with Kung Fu legend David Carradine (Kill Bill: Volume 1 & 2). If you’re like me and love classic 80s camp, then this film is a must-see. You can’t put this baby in a corner! What I mean to say is that it is tongue-in-cheek, it is horror comedy, it is a horror western, it has vampires, it even has Bobby (Dana Ashbrook) from Twin Peaks!
Synopsis:
Reclusive vampires lounge in a lonely American town. They wear sun cream to protect themselves. A descendant of Van Helsing arrives with hilarious consequences.
Sundown: The Vampire In Retreat Stars David Carradine (Death Race 2000), Maxwell Caulfield (Grease 2), Morgan Brittany (Gypsy), and Bruce Campbell (Army Of Darkness).
The film is directed by Anthony Hickox (Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth) and is written by John Burgess and Hickox.
Sundown: The Vampire In Retreat bites into Digital and Blu-ray on August 17 from Vestron Video Collectors Series and Lionsgate.
If you long for those nostalgic days of perusing the video store aisles for something to tickle the senses and bite the neck, this film will do it, and bring a smile to your fangs as well!
There is something special about these classic flicks! I for one cannot wait to dive back into this film! Are you excited as well?
