This Halloween Prepare for the Macabre Reawakening of DEMIGOD!

There has been a revival of folk horror for these past few years with films like The Witch, Midsommar, Hereditary, and The Ritual, which prove that sometimes the most terrifying stories are from childhood fairy tales and cultural legends. This makes the anticipation for director Miles Doleac’s new film Demigod all the more exciting!

Demigod promises to be a macabre riff on the ancient Celtic mythos about the horned god Cernunnos. This will prove to be a wicked retelling of the legend. “Miles has crafted a terrifying horror film with an atmospheric setting that is a natural fit for the Halloween crowd. We look forward to presenting it to North American audiences,” said Tony Piantedosi, Vice President of Acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures.

Demigod stars Rachel Nichols (The Amityville Horror), Jeremy London (Mallrats), and Elena Sanchez (The Walking Dead) is directed and cowritten by Miles Doleac (The Hollow) and is produced by Doleac, James Victor Bulian, Lindsay Anne Williams, and Wesley O’Mary. The team behind 2020’s The Dinner Party.

Demigod tells the story of a woman (Nichols), who travels with her husband (Yohance Myles) to Germany’s Black Forest upon learning that her huntsman grandfather has died and left her all his worldly possessions. Upon arrival, a terrifying secret forces her to reckon with her family’s past and a mysterious ritual she thought was the stuff of fairy tales.
