SOMETHING IN THE DIRT is the Next Movie from Indie Superstars Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the filmmaking duo behind Resolution, Spring, The Endless, and Synchronic, have a new movie in the works. Something in the Dirt will be released by XYZ Film’s new film distribution arm. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news:

Indie genre specialist XYZ Films is getting into the distribution game, launching a U.S. operation and bringing on board former Drafthouse Films and Neon executive James Emanuel Shapiro.
Something in the Dirt, currently in post-production, “is billed as a return to their DYI indie origins seen in features like Resolution (2012) and Spring (2014).”
“Justin, Aaron, and Dave were incredible to work with during the Drafthouse Films release of Spring and I’ve loved each film they’ve done since,” Shapiro told THR. “Something in the Dirt is smart, inventive, and very entertaining. I hope we can distribute every film they do going forward.”
We don’t have any information about Something in the Dirt at this time, but we’ll keep you posted as details are announced. Stay tuned and check back often.
