While most people who Sophie Turner from HBO’s Game of Thrones, I know her for her stellar performance in director Eric England’s Josie.

That film follows a mysterious, beyond-her-years teen who strikes up an unlikely friendship with a motel-dwelling loner (Dylan McDermott) in a sleepy Southern town. And her true intentions prove far more sinister when her dark past comes to light.

Sophie Turner will play Margaret Ratliff, one of Toni Collette and Colin Firth’s daughters in HBO Max’s true-crime series The Staircase.
