It begins when teenagers see a comet crash outside their small town and investigate discovering a pack of murderous aliens who look like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. The teens then decide it’s up to them to stop the clowns’ bloody rampage.

It is the only film to be written and directed by the Chiodo Brothers and marks Christopher Titus’ first role in a motion picture. John Massari composed the score.

The original title was simply Killer Klowns, but the filmmakers added the words from Outer Space to prevent audiences from thinking it was a slasher movie.

It stars Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, John Vernon, Michael S. Siegel, Peter Licassi, Royal Dano, Charles Chiodo, and Christopher Titus.

Rated PG-13 for adult situations/language, violence, it sports a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Killer Klowns from Outer Space’s title promises darkly goofy fun — and more often than not, the movie delivers.
