New Trailer for Ripper Street Follows in Jack’s Footsteps

Another dark and dank crime drama from the UK is heading our way on BBC America, “Ripper Street,” and a new trailer has arrived that introduces us to Detective Edmund Reid, one of the detectives who were on the Jack the Ripper case and are now picking up the pieces.
“Ripper Street,” starring MATTHEW MACFADYEN (Anna Karenina, MI-5, Pride and Prejudice), JEROME FLYNN (“Game of Thrones”), ADAM ROTHENBERG (“Alcatraz”), MYANNA BURING (The Twilight Saga, White Heat) and DAVID DAWSON (“Luther,” “Secret Diary of a Call Girl”), premieres Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 9/8c on BBC America.
Synopsis:
History’s most notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper, tore through London. Now, the detectives who were on the case have to pick up the pieces. In the aftermath of the murders, can anyone keep order in the blood-stained London Streets?
Haunted by the failure to catch London’s most evil killer, Inspector Edmund Reid (Macfadyen) now heads up the notorious H Division, the toughest district in London’s East End.
