HOCUS POCUS 2 Now Set for Fall 2022 on Disney+

As we reported in April, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and also Kathy Najimy will return as the Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus 2, directed by Anne Fletcher.

Today, we’ve gotten word that the sequel to 1993’s Hocus Pocus will be released on Disney+ in the fall of 2022!
“We should be laughing every day, and there is so much fun to be had with these three unbelievable women playing delicious characters from such a beloved film,” Fletcher tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life, and to be working with my friends at Disney again makes it all the more special. This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Hocus Pocus 2 will begin filming early next year in L.A. and also Massachusetts.
The original Hocus Pocus (directed by Kenny Ortega) centered on some kids who accidentally frees a coven of evil witches. With the help of a magical cat must steal the witches’ book of spells and stop them from becoming immortal. Check out the trailer below.
