RLJE Films plans to release Seance in theaters, On Demand and Digital on May 21st, 2021. Shudder will premiere the film on its platform later in the year. Shudder has also acquired UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand rights.

Synopsis:
Camille Meadows is the new girl at the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls. Soon after her arrival, six girls invite her to join them in a late-night ritual. They call forth the spirit of a dead student who reportedly haunts their halls. But before morning, one of the girls is dead, leaving the others wondering what they have awakened.
Simon Barrett makes his feature-length directorial debut with the film. Barrett is best known to horror fans for his screenwriting. He penned Adam Wingard’s You’re Next, Blair Witch, A Horrible Way to Die, and also The Guest.
Suki Waterhouse (Assassination Nation, The Bad Batch) stars. Madisen Beaty (Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, Benjamin Button) and Ella-Rae Smith (”Into the Badlands”, Hobbs & Shaw) co-star. Inanna Sarkis (Boo 2! A Madea Halloween) joins them with Seamus Patterson (Channel Zero) and Marina Stephenson-Kerr (Channel Zero).
