January? Oh, no…

January is notorious for being a dumping ground for horror movies. But that said, Radio Silence’s new Scream is also set to hit in January 2022. So maybe these two films will help turn the tide as they say. God, I hope so.

The Black Phone Synopsis:
Imogene is young and beautiful. She kisses like a movie star and knows everything about every film ever made. She’s also dead and waiting in the Rosebud Theater for Alec Sheldon one afternoon in 1945. Arthur Roth is a lonely kid with big ideas and a gift for attracting abuse.

Ethan Hawke stars with James Ransone (IT: Chapter Two, In A Valley of Violence). Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill (Doctor Strange, Sinister), and Jason Blum produce. Universal and Blumhouse will present the Crooked Highway production.

Joe Hill is an executive producer.
