Synopsis:
Anna Fox (Amy Adams) is an agoraphobic child psychologist. She keeps tabs on the picture-perfect family across the street through the windows of her New York City brownstone. Her life turns upside down when she inadvertently witnesses a brutal crime. Based on the gripping, best-selling novel and adapted by Tracy Letts. Shocking secrets are revealed and nothing and no one is what they seem.

In addition to Adams, The Woman in the Window stars Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Fred Hechinger, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Julianne Moore. Joe Wright directed the film.

Wright told EW: “I liked the idea of the kind of minimalist constraints of making a film completely set in one house. I’m also interested in the blurring between subjective and objective reality, truth and lies, and the lies we tell ourselves and how we create our own reality. I didn’t know the book prior to reading the script. And I was thrilled and excited and I wanted to know what happened next.”
