Saw II–IV and also Abattoir director Darren Lynn Bousman’s Spiral: From the Book of Saw with Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson will arrive in theaters in May. Yesterday, the new trailer hit. So today we took a look on Twitter to see what people were saying.

Synopsis: A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of Saw. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Rock) and his rookie partner (Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
Darren Lynn Bousman directs Spiral: From the Book of Saw from a screenplay written by Josh Stolberg and also Peter Goldfinger from a story by Chris Rock based on the original film by James Wan (The Conjuring) and Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man).
Bousman says: “Chris came in with a thriller concept. He pitched this very elaborate, dense idea. We wanted it to feel much more like Seven. But it has so many ties to the mythos of Saw.”
Chris Rock also stars along with Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Samuel L. Jackson. The new film is once again produced by Oren Koules and Mark Burg. Charlie Clouser will also provide the score. Spiral: From the Book of Saw hits May 14, 2021.
