Trailer: Ben Wheatley’s New Nightmare IN THE EARTH Hits in April

The next genre offering from Kill List/High Rise filmmaker Ben Wheatley is a chilling folk horror called In the Earth. A hit at Sundance, the film will release on April 23rd via Neon. Yesterday, we shared the film’s (disgusting) new poster; today, we have a trailer to share! Give it a spin below.

In the Earth Synopsis:
As the whole world searches for a quick cure to a new disastrous virus, a scientist and a park scout must venture deep in the dark forest for what should be a routine equipment run. But through the night, their journey becomes an utterly terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, as they slowly begin to realize that the forest itself seems to be coming to life around them.

Joel Fry stars in the film along with Ellora Torchia and Hayley Squires. Reece Shearsmith rounds out the cast along with John Hollingworth, and Mark Monero. Ready or not, Neon will finally unleash the new tale of folk horror into a theater near you on April 23rd.
