Here are the first eight of the designs along with bios on the artists:
DARK STAR by Stephen Sandoval.
Marooned on this planet as an infant, the work of life-long artist Stephen Sandoval has since been shaped by three adopted human passions: Science Fiction, Comic Books, and American Pop Culture of the 1960’s and 1970’s. In order to assimilate in plain sight of Earth’s inhabitants, Stephen is currently working as a director on the Emmy award-winning television show “Futurama” where his extraterrestrial pedigree serves him well.
To inquire about his other artworks (and to maintain the appearances of normal Terran social media protocols), Stephen can be reached via the “Contact” page on his internet website here.
BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA by Ross Loehner.
Born and raised in the tough neighborhoods of Orange County, CA, Ross was forced to stay indoors as a young lad and focus on his art. While other kids practiced their social skills, Ross was honing his creative abilities to later become a poorly paid graphic designer. As a designer, Ross worked on book covers, print collateral and most recently web design. While graphic design consumes most of his art time, his true passion is illustration and sculpture. Ross can be found either sitting in a movie theater with his wife or at his desk drawing strange characters.
CALL ME SNAKE (from EFNY & EFLA) by Adam Limbert.
Adam Limbert is an art junkie/graphic designer/illustrator/creative enthusiast that’s worked with some of the biggest brands in the industry such as Airstream, Huffy, SeaWorld, Burton, Beloved Virus, Busch Gardens, Monster Cable, Grand-Am Racing. You can also see/purchase his illustration and print work at Gallery1988’s Melrose, Venice and New York locations, as well as the beloved Planet Pulp.
ELVIS by Adam Huntley.
Adam Huntley is a Southern California native whose early influences included John Buscema and Dave Stevens as well Brian Bolland and Coop. A self-taught artist, Huntley has been designing t-shirts, Halloween masks, Comic book covers, as well as his original series for over two decades. If he’s not chained to his desk, working away on his drawing board he can be found playing one of his many vintage electric guitars. Huntley is available for commissioned works and can be reached here and here.
THE FOG & IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS by Nik Holmes.
Nik Holmes is a British Illustrator based smack in the centre of the vast brown surroundings of the North Yorkshire moors and the Industrial wasteland of the North East of England. A child of Generation Betamax, he likes nothing more than digging up the rotting carcass of popular culture, stitching it together in his lab and slapping the resulting abominations into an illustration! You know, for kids.
THE THING by The Black Ink Warlock, a.k.a. Justin Bartlett.
Justin Bartlett applies boundless visual style to depictions of the arcane. His developed portfolio representing clients of various trades exposes an illustrative language often derived from the occult, where theology and religion meet strife. Here he has mastered visual manipulation of his equally imaginative clients within several genres of extreme music.
With pen and ink, Bartlett renders visions unseen by the naked eye, awakening apparitions as ambiguous as those creatures created by Edgar Allen Poe or ideas fostered by Aleister Crowley. Self-taught, the illustrator/designer has developed a style that’s equally recognizable as it is versatile.
Bartlett’s work has been selected for worldwide gallery exhibitions, which lead to creating promotional artwork for Ubisoft’s “Assassin’s Creed 3” video game viral campaign and conceptual artwork for the film “The Raven.” Additionally, his illustrations have cloaked the pages of Vice Magazine, and has been featured in Illustration Now! and 3X3 Magazine.
ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK by Nathan Thomas Milliner.
Nathan Thomas Milliner is an artist, writer, filmmaker who is probably best known for his work as a staff/cover artist and writer for HorrorHound Magazine.
You also may know him as the artist for the new Shout! Factory horror line “Scream! Factory” which just launched this September with the releases of Halloween 2 and Halloween 3: Season of the Witch on DVD and Blu-ray featuring original artwork by Milliner. He also did artwork for future releases Terror Train, The Funhouse and Deadly Blessing.
Milliner began his career in independent comics, self-publishing titles like The Malevolent and Girl Number Three (which was made into a feature film in 2009) with Milliner providing a screenplay. Milliner is wrapping up photography on his first directorial effort A Wish for the Dead (also based on one of his original comic strips) which will be completed this Winter.
In 2010 Milliner started his own publishing company, Rebel Rouser Comics, LLC and has reprinted many of his older books along with publishing a new anthology series called Rebel Rouser Comics Presents featuring his new pulp comedy comic “A Bloody Pulp” along with several other stories from various artists and writers.
Milliner wrote and performed on the sketch comedy horror show “The Necroville Picture Show” in 2008. He provided artwork for several indie films including Dead Moon Rising and Bloodstained Romance. Milliner did covers for William Castle’s “From the Grave” book series and is currently doing three covers for Brian Pullido’s long running comic “Lady Death”. He is also working with a distributor in France called The Ecstasy of Film who’s first release will be “What Have they Done to Your Daughters” with art by Milliner.
He is currently working on art for their next two releases. He’s done a few various projects for tee shirt companies like Fright Rags, Creepy Tees and Rotten Cotton and can be seen on the horror con circuit in the Mid-West selling comics, original artwork, DVDs and his line of original horror based art titled “Monsters and Madmen”.
Milliner’s most recent gig involved providing artwork for The Weinstein Co. for a benefit at the Museum of Modern Art for the films of Quentin Tarantino this December.
