Hasbro Announces New Kenner Classics REAL GHOSTBUSTERS Toys
Hasbro unveiled new 80s-style toys based on The Real Ghostbusters including the Ecto-1 and ghosts Bug-Eye and Fearsome Flush. Meanwhile, the packaging also features design and deco influenced by the 80s toys.
Hasbro says the toy is “perfect for those wanting to relive the glory days of Saturday morning cartoons and ghostly green juice boxes or those who want to introduce a new generation of fans to the Ghostbusters.”

Last year, Hasbro released action figures of the main characters, Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the Proton Pack, Proton Blaster, and Ghost Whistle. Walmart is selling the Kenner Classics toys exclusively in April.

The Real Ghostbusters ran from 1986 to 1991. Columbia Pictures Television produced with DIC Enterprises, and Coca-Cola. The show continues the adventures of paranormal investigators Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, and their mascot ghost Slimer. They added “The Real” to the title after a dispute with Filmation and its Ghost Busters properties.
It featured the voices of Lorenzo Music and also Dave Coulier as Peter Venkman, Maurice LaMarche as Egon Spengler, Frank Welker as Ray Stantz and Slimer, Arsenio Hall and Buster Jones as Winston Zeddemore, Laura Summer and Kath Soucie as Janine Melnitz, Rodger Bumpass as Louis Tully, Jeff Altman as Professor Norman Dweeb, and Fay DeWitt as Mrs. Van Huego.
