Andrew Bowser Will Live-Stream a Reading of His Feature Script ONYX THE FORTUITOUS AND THE TALISMAN OF SOULS Tonight at 6 PM (PST)

Director Andrew Bowser, also known as Onyx the Fortuitous has launched a Kickstarter for the feature film titled Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls and will be hosting a live script read tonight (Saturday, March 13th, 2021) at 6 pm on Youtube starring genre favorites Rachel Ancheril (Star Trek: Discovery), Olivia Taylor Dudley (The Magicians), Jayma Mays (Glee), Xander Berkley (The Walking Dead), Rivkah Reyes (School of Rock), Ryan Stanger (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Kelsey Gunn (Assisting Navarro), Jason Marsden (Hocus Pocus), and Rico E. Anderson (S.W.A.T.).
The feature film is currently being crowdfunded through Kickstarter and has already raised over half of its goal of $500,000.
Synopsis:
The story follows fledgling Satanist Marcus J. Trillbury (Onyx) as he attends a once-in-a-lifetime ritual at his idol BARTOK THE GREAT’S dark mansion. Once there, Marcus meets a group of other worshippers. As the group is led by Bartok and his assistant Farrah in a series of rituals meant to “better them,” it becomes clear that their intentions are more nefarious. As his new friends are losing the battle to keep their souls, a question of great destiny looms over Onyx’s head: is he doomed to be a nobody or is he the only one who can defeat Bartok and save his friends from damnation?
Andrew Bowser directed his first feature, The Mother of Invention in 2009 and it debuted at The Hollywood Film Festival that year. The following year, he crafted the found-footage horror/comedy Jimmy Tupper VS The Goatman of Bowie which had its premiere at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival in Austin. In between that feature and his next, he began directing music videos and short films that eventually led to his third feature, Worm which premiered at Seattle International Film Festival in 2013 and was nominated for the New American Cinema Award. That same year, he began working full-time for Nerdist Industries (later Legendary Digital Networks). In his 6 years at Nerdist, he helmed a number of the company’s most viewed videos, and directed the bulk of their narrative branded content. He wrote and directed all 8 episodes of Welcome to the Shadow Zone, a web series featuring his viral character, Onyx The Fortuitous and completed a proof of concept short House Mother as a pitch for a horror feature. He has worked with Funny Or Die, Overwatch League, and companies such as Chrysler, Toyota, Twix, Warner Bros, Blumhouse and more. He also actively maintains his own successful YouTube channel bolstered by nearly 200,000 subscribers. In 2020 Andrew wrote and directed several short films including Little Willy, Self Tape, and Thrill Me!
