The Requin, a shark/survival horror movie starring Alicia Silverstone, is currently in post-production. The film, written and directed by Le-Van Kiet (Furie) will sport close to 1,000 virtual special effects shots, meaning it should truly be something to behold.

Synopsis:
The Requin follows a couple on a romantic getaway in Vietnam, who find themselves stranded at sea after a massive tropical storm sweeps away their seaside villa. With the husband maimed and dying, the wife must fight the elements alone, while Great White sharks circle below.
Silverstone plays the wife and James Tupper (Big Little Lies) plays her husband.
We don’t have a trailer or release information at this time, but Deadline was the first to share a “First Look” image via sales company Film Bridge International. Check it out below.
