THE WALKING DEAD Final Season Will Now Premiere This Summer

Filming on the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead has been underway since February 8. And today we hear it will premiere on AMC this summer.

Check out the first teaser below:

Last on The Walking Dead, Alpha (Samantha Morton) fell, ending the Whisperers War. The Kingdom also fell, Hilltop was destroyed and Alexandria abandoned. Our survivors were trapped and separated from one another. Yet, when faced with certain death, they rallied together to fight, eliminating the threat of the horde.

The final six episodes of season 10 find our survivors picking themselves up following the destruction left by the Whisperers. The years of struggle weigh upon them as past traumas surface, exposing their more vulnerable sides. They question the state of humanity, their collective community, and the states of their minds. Will they find the strength to persevere with their lives, friendships, and group intact?

Gimple, Showrunner Angela Kang, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert, Greg Nicotero, Joseph Incaprera, and Denise Huth.
