Christopher Plummer Passed Away on Friday at 91

Some sad news this morning. Christopher Plummer died peacefully at his home in Connecticut over the weekend at the age of 91. He is best known for The Sound of Music with Julie Andrews. The musical won five Oscars including Best Picture.

But we all know him for roles in genre flicks such as Wolf, Dolores Claiborne, The Clown at Midnight, Dracula 2000, Priest, and 12 Monkeys. Not to mention David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Rian Johnson-directed Knives Out.

Lou Pitt, his longtime friend, and manager of 46 years said: “Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self-deprecating humor, and the music of words. He was a national treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come. He will forever be with us.”
