HOST and SURVIVAL SKILLS Get Retro VHS Releases from Witter Entertainment & Broke Horror Fan

Witter Entertainment is starting the new year off with a bang! The Shudder Original film Host and the dark comedy Survival Skills have arrived on limited edition VHS. In partnership with Broke Horror Fan.

Host debuted on Shudder last year and was shot remotely during quarantine, with all the actors filming in their own homes. The project was commissioned, written, filmed, and released within three months. It’s no wonder Host has captured fans across the globe! This VHS drop includes a standard edition with art by Neil Fraser stocked at 75 tapes, and a variant (3rd pictured above) limited to 25 with art by Eileen Steinbach. Exclusive cast introductions and a letter from writer-director Rob Savage are included, along with special featurettes following the presentation.

Host is the story of six friends who hire a medium to hold a séance over Zoom during lockdown, but they get far more than they bargain for as things quickly go wrong. When an evil spirit starts invading their homes, they begin to realize they might not survive the night.

Survival Skills positions itself as a long lost police training program circa the 1980s. Narrated by Stacy Keach (American History X, Escape from L.A.), the film is officially licensed from Cranked Up Films and approved by writer-director Quinn Armstrong. An introduction and letter from Armstrong are included. Limited to 50 copies.

Jim, the perfect policeman in a perfect relationship in a perfect community, gets in over his head when he tries to resolve a domestic violence case. Before long, the ugly underbelly of the ‘Good Guys in Blue’ begins to expose itself, and Jim decides to take matters into his own hands.
