SUSPIRIA Director’s New Horror Movie Snags DUNE’s Timothee Chalamet

Luca Guadagnino caught my attention like a motherf*cker after directing the recent remake of Suspiria. And so I’m excited that his next horror movie Bones & All has snagged Timothée Chalamet (Dune) and Taylor Russell (Escape Room).

Chalamet and Guadagnino worked together on Call Me by Your Name.

It follows a young woman who travels across the country searching for her father. All to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat the people that love her.

Guadagnino will direct from a script by Dave Kajganich based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis. Production is set to start this spring, in either April or May.

Guadagnino’s Suspiria sports a 65% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: Suspiria attacks heady themes with garish vigor, offering a viewing experience that’s daringly confrontational – and definitely not for everyone.

It centered on a young American dancer in 1970s Berlin who auditions for the world-renowned Helena Markos Dance Co. She vaults to the role of lead dancer. But the woman she replaced accuses the company’s directors of witchcraft. Meanwhile, a psychotherapist and a member of the troupe uncover sinister secrets as they probe the depths of the studio’s hidden underground chambers.
