Director Promises GHOSTBUSTERS 3 Will Be Scary
Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife with Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, and Paul Rudd was set to hit last July. But suffered a delay due to COVID-19. It will now hit this June. And today Reitman promises the new film will be scary.
He explains to Empire: “The feeling that I’ve kind of held onto is that while it is very funny, it really scared me. It was really my first experience with a horror film.”
Sounds good to us!
Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II star Ernie Hudson has also promised that the new movie is worth the wait. And is what “fans have been hoping for.”

Hudson will return as Winston Zeddemore with Dan Aykroyd as Ray, Bill Murray as Peter, Sigourney Weaver as Dana, and Annie Potts as Janine. New castmembers Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd join them.
The new movie tells the tale of a single mother and her two children. They notice something strange in their neighborhood of Summerville, Oklahoma. So they team with a seismologist school teacher to investigate the paranormal happenings.
The last time we saw the (original) team on the big screen was in Ghostbusters II. It began after the Ghostbusters are disbanded for demolishing parts of the city during a battle. Then Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) learns that spirits have taken an interest in Dana’s son. And the men launch a rogue ghost-chasing mission.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is now set to arrive in theaters on June 11, 2021.
