Horror fans know Danny Boyle as the filmmaking mastermind behind 28 Days Later (not to mention genre-adjacent films including Trainspotting and 127 Hours). Today brings word that Boyle’s next project will be a limited series about punk rock pioneers The Sex Pistols!
We know Dread Central isn’t a music website, but horror fans love them some punk!
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news:
“[FX] has ordered a six-episode limited series, Pistol, about punk rock legends the Sex Pistols. It’s based on a memoir titled Lonely Boy: Tales From a Sex Pistol by the band’s guitarist, Steve Jones, and will be directed and executive produced by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire).
