Universal will unleash Come Play with Gillian Jacobs, John Gallagher Jr., and Azhy Robertson on Digital on January 12th and on Blu-ray and DVD on January 26th.

Newcomer Azhy Robertson stars as Oliver, a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.

The MPAA slapped the flick with a PG-13 rating for terror, some language, and frightening images. The movie sports a 56% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes. The Critics Consensus reads: A frightening feature debut from Jacob Chase, Come Play makes up for its uneven tone by adding real depth to its jarring scares.
