Ben Wheatley Wraps Secret Horror IN THE EARTH
Kill List director Ben Wheatley has wrapped production on In The Earth, a secret horror movie shot during the pandemic starring Joel Fry (Yesterday), Ellora Torchia (Midsommar), Hayley Squires (I, Daniel Blake), and Reece Shearsmith.
The film begins ss the world searches for a cure to a disastrous virus, and a scientist and a park scout venture deep into the forest for routine equipment run. Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them.
Andy Starke produced with Tom Quinn and Jeff Deutchman who exec produced. Neon fully financed, produced, and will release the movie in theaters next year.
Wheatley’s remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca with Armie Hammer hit Netflix last month. Since then he has been hired to direct Jason Statham in The Meg 2.
