Zoe Colletti “In the Dark” Regarding SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK PART 2

Earlier this year, we learned that writer-producer Guillermo del Toro and director Andre Ovredal are returning for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark 2. But today, actress Zoe Colletti (Fear the Walking Dead) says she hasn’t heard a thing.
Colletti told Decider: “Honestly, I’m in the dark a little bit, as much as everybody else is. I know it’s been cleared to be written and is in pre-production. But other than that, I don’t really know that much about it. I’m assuming I’m going to hear some more stuff about it once the whole industry is fully back in bling. But as of right now, I know as much as all the other folks do… Unfortunately for me!“
As mentioned above, Ovredal (Trollhunter) returns to direct the sequel from a screenplay written by Dan and Kevin Hageman from a screen story by Del Toro based on the books written by Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell.
Here’s the synopsis for the first film if you need it: The shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large in the small town of Mill Valley for generations. It’s in a mansion that young Sarah Bellows turns her tortured life and horrible secrets into a series of scary stories. These terrifying tales soon have a way of becoming all too real for a group of unsuspecting teens who stumble upon Sarah’s spooky home.
The film stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Zajur, Natalie Ganzhorn, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, and Lorraine Toussaint.
PG-13 for terror/violence, disturbing images, brief sexual references, thematic elements, language, and racial epithets, the film sports a 78% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Like the bestselling series of books that inspired it, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark opens a creepy gateway into horror for younger genre enthusiasts.
