Here’s another vampire flick, but this one is after the hearts of horror fans the world over with a tagline that suggests it’ll deliver where most recent vampire forays have failed: “Vampires. Daylight. No Sparkles.”
That’s right, folks, The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann is a Dublin-based vampire flick that promises to bring the blood and gore. Writer/director Jason Figgis has given us a first look at the production, and if these pics are any indication of what’s to come then it’s safe to say all you gorehounds out there can put this sucker on your radars.
“It’s the story of a teenage girl who is seduced into an incredibly violent sect of day-walking vampires,” said Figgis. “Her class mates start to go missing and two detectives believe that she is the prime suspect. Nothing is quite as it seems for those about her as the disturbed teenager runs amok, killing at will in the woodlands by her home; aided by her vampire guides who are training her in the art of the kill – with horrifically bloody results for those closest to her.”
Enjoy two images below, and stay tuned. Filming on The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann underway so you can bet we’ll be covering this one in greater detail in the near future.
