Animated ADDAMS FAMILY Sequel Loses Finn Wolfhard, Gains Bill Hader

MGM’s The Addams Family sequel has lost Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard as the voice of Pugsley. That said, The CG-animated family flick has added Bill Hader (IT Chapter Two) to its voice cast as a new character named Cyrus.

Javon “Wanna’ Walton (HBO’s Euphoria) will take over the role of the youngest Addams sibling, Pugsley as it was decided Wolfhard aged out of the role.

Greg Tiernan returns as director. He says: “The success of last year’s animated film was proof of the enduring legacy of The Addams Family and its ability to transcend popular culture. This second film will be every bit as fun as the original. We are thrilled to welcome Bill Hader and Javon Walton, and to welcome back our incredible original cast for this exciting next chapter in the Addams’s journey.

Hadder and Walton join the returning killer voice cast including Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, and Bette Midler.

The sequel will be released in theaters on October 8, 2021.

Gail Berman produces with Conrad Vernon, Danielle Sterling, and Alison O’Brien. Jonathan Glickman, Cassidy Lange, and Andrew Mittman are Executive Producers. Laura Brousseau and Kevin Pavlovic will be co-directors along with Tiernan.
