The Hole in the Ground director Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise will ditch the cabin in the woods for a skyscraper, and punish the audience accordingly. And today, franchise Bruce Campbell teases the new nightmare will f*ck up an entire city.
Campbell tells 1428 Elm:”The Evil Dead are going to fuck up a city this time.”

Written and directed by Sam Raimi, the original classic centers on Ash Williams and four pals who hike into the woods to a cabin for a night away. There they find an old book that reawakens the dead when it’s read. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life.
Rated R for substantial graphic horror violence and gore, the film sports a 95% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: This classic low budget horror film combines just the right amount of gore and black humor, giving The Evil Dead an equal amount of thrills and laughs.
