The chilling and lavish gothic creeper The Lodgers was released by Dread Presents (the horror distribution arm of Epic Pictures) in 2018. Check out the trailer and synopsis below.
Synopsis:
A family curse confines orphaned twins Rachel and Edward to their home, in punishment for their ancestors’ sins. Bound to the rules of a haunting childhood lullaby, the twins must never let any outsiders inside the house, must be in their rooms by the chime of midnight, and must never be separated from one another. Breaking any of these rules will incur the wrath of a sinister presence that inhabits the house after midnight.
The Lodgers is directed by Brian O’Malley and stars Charlotte Vega, Bill Milner, and Eugene Simon.
David Turpin’s first feature as a screenwriter – the gothic fantasy premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2017 and was later acquired for worldwide release by Netflix.
Today brings word that Burning Witches Records are releasing the beautifully haunting gothic score to The Lodgers by Stephen Shannon, Kevin Murphy and David Turpin. Look for it beginning 8 am Friday, September 4th on burningwitchesrecords.bandcamp.com and burningwitchesrecords.com.
