Sneak Peek: DALLAS & ROBO Explore the Seedy Universe of Interplanetary Big Rigging

SYFY acquired the 8-episode series Dallas & Robo starring John Cena and Kat Dennings, for its first-ever cable run. From ShadowMachine (BoJack Horseman) and YouTube Originals, the space-trucking comedy follows the misadventures of foul-mouthed ex-stock car racer Dallas (Dennings) and her ass-kickin’ artificially intelligent good buddy, Robo (Cena).
Today, producers released a new sneak peek at Dallas & Robo; check it out below the trailer and synopsis.
Synopsis:
Dallas and Robo is a space-trucking comedy following the mis-adventures of foul-mouthed ex-stock car racer Dallas (Dennings) and her ass-kickin’ artificially intelligent good buddy, Robo (Cena). Together, they navigate their way around cannibal bikers, rival space truckers and vending machine burritos as they try to make a buck in the seedy world of interplanetary big rigging.
Beginning Saturday, August 8th at midnight-ish ET/PT, the 8-episode half-hour adult animated comedy will begin its first-ever cable run during the network’s “TZGZ” late-night animation block. Episodes will also be available on SYFY On Demand.
From ShadowMachine (Final Space, BoJack Horseman) and YouTube Originals, Dallas and Robo is executive produced by series creator Mike Roberts and showrunners Matt Mariska and Andy Sipes, alongside Cena. Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico from ShadowMachine also executive produce.
“TZGZ” is SYFY’s growing late-night adult animation block (“TZGZ” comes after SYFY). It’s on Saturdays at “midnight-ish”. It’s perfect for when you’re feeling chill, funny and maybe even have the munchies! check out a full list of “TZGZ” programming HERE.
