Multisensory Art/Music “Cult” itchy-O Launching SYPHERLOT DRIVE-IN RADIO BATH in Denver

57-member itchy-O brings its enveloping multimodal performance theatrics to Denver’s North Wynkoop (4242 N. Wynkoop) for a drive-in concert series unlike any other, presented by Denver Film + Overlook Film Festival.
Launching Friday, August 14th, the Sypherlot Drive-In Radio Bath will combine the group’s lauded pyrotechnic and percussive bombast with short-band private radio broadcast and other interactive elements ensuring each vehicle has an individual-yet-connected sonic experience.
In the wake of pandemic-delayed performances, the time is right to launch a cosmogenic conflagration, laying waste to previous notions of concerts in “the new normal” by ushering in a joyful sonic bath of post-apocalyptic unifying magic.
And as in typical itchy-O tradition, expect as hands-on an experience as otherworldly possible in this meta-drive-in: Think Lion Country Safari meets Thunderdome, with interstellar performers interacting with vehicles to turn each car into a dancefloor, all while adhering to CDC-recommended public-health guidelines.

Each date consists of an early and late performance. Vehicles will be arranged two rows deep within a semicircle, with tickets running $125 and $100 for first- and second-row placement, respectively.
Sales are capped at 41 vehicles per show; attendees must purchase tickets in advance and arrive by stated time to ensure safety and logistical positioning. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Detailed instructions will be provided to attendees. All ages (attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).
Aside from performers interacting with vehicles, this is a contactless event. All CDC-recommended guidelines will be followed with all crew/staff wearing gloves and face coverings. Guests are required to remain in their vehicles at all times with the exception of using the restroom.
Sound will be transmitted through a private FM radio station and follow FCC guidelines along with itchy-O’s mobile 12v sound system(s).
With a driving drum-corps battery, taiko drummers and an arsenal of electronics, the 57-member art collective’s live performances invite audience members to join into an experience of radical, transcendental musical celebration through dance.
