Stripped Finally Goes into Production!

We’ve been talking about John Wildman’s horror flick Stripped for about two years now, and we are extremely happy to report that the little indie flick that’s home to some stunning eye candy is finally gettin’ cookin’!

Wildworks Productions announced that the horror thriller STRIPPED, initially set to film two years ago in 2010, will begin principal photography in Dallas, Texas this June. Directed by John Wildman from a script co-penned by Wildman and Justina Walford, the film will star the previously announced trio of popular horror film scream queen Tiffany Shepis (pictured below; THE VIOLENT KIND, NIGHT OF THE DEMONS), adult film icon Michelle “Belladonna” Sinclair, who will make her mainstream feature film debut, and internationally accomplished actor Samrat Chakrabarti (THE WAITING CITY, KISSING COUSINS). The film also stars Michael Guarnera (“Desperate Housewives”, “NCIS”).
The effort to get the film before cameras is headed by executive producers Ruth Mutch, noted Dallas International Film Festival patron and independent film producer (THE BROOKLYN BROTHERS BEAT THE BEST, PETER AND VANDY), and Debbi Berlin, the former head of theatrical distribution and publicity at Palisades Tartan. STRIPPED will be produced by the quartet of Wildman, Walford, Farah White and Adam Dietrich.
Aside from the shoot location, the production will have a distinct Texas flavor to it with the involvement of White, Dietrich and Frank Mosley. White, who also will star in the film, is familiar to Texas and film festival audiences both as a producer (HELLION, HOLD) and actress (EXTERMINATORS, THE FINAL). Dietrich is a multi-hyphenate as well with art director credits (CARRIED AWAY, THE GHOST OF GOODNIGHT LANE), casting (WOLF, SILENT RED), and acting credits (CARRIED AWAY, A NEIGHBORLY DINNER) among the various roles he has performed on film sets both behind and in front of the camera. Texas-based filmmaker and actor Frank Mosley (HOLD, WUSS) also joins the cast, which includes stage veteran Mark Hennessy.
STRIPPED is described as post-feminist horror, following the events surrounding a birthday outing with two brothers and a friend which turns into a horrific fight for survival after they become trapped in a house with a “family” of malevolent women.
Wildman gave credit to Mutch and White for “breathing new life” into the project, adding, “While many films and filmmakers go through longer periods and more difficult roads as they make their way to becoming a reality, it is rare when the entire cast and several people behind the scenes remain a part of the production after you’ve gone through such a significant delay. Justina and I were actually caught off-guard by the loyalty and enthusiasm this script and project has inspired with everyone involved in it.”
Wildman and Walford divide their time between Dallas (where he was the former Director of Press and PR for the Dallas IFF) and New York City, where he currently is the senior publicist at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, and she owns and operates the charity website and events company Bare Naked Bake Sale. STRIPPED will mark Wildman’s feature film directing debut. Currently in pre-production, STRIPPED will film in locations throughout Dallas during the month of June.
