GODZILLA VS. KONG Toy Leak Reveals Kong’s Battle-Axe Made from Godzilla’s Dorsal Spikes?

For months now we’ve heard that King Kong will sport a giant battle-ax against Godzilla in director Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs. Kong. And today, a leaked toy promo gives us our first look at just that – and it looks like the ax is made from Godzilla’s own dorsal spikes!

A sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in Legendary’s MonsterVerse. It was delayed from a November 2020 release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is now scheduled to be released on May 21, 2021.
The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir.
Here’s the synopsis: In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
