Blumhouse’s YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT with Kevin Bacon & Amanda Seyfried Hits DVD Next Week
Blumhouse and Stir of Echoes writer-director David Koepp’s psychological thriller You Should Have Left with Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried will be unleashed on DVD and Digital next week on July 28.
No special features are listed and no Blu-ray is planned. That said, it’s currently available on VOD. Here’s the trailer.
Based on the novel by Daniel Kehlmann, the film tells the tale of a couple seeking a restful vacation in a remote home in the Welsh countryside. What at first seems like a perfect retreat distorts into a terrifying nightmare when reality begins to unravel, dark episodes from the past resurface, and a sinister force in the house refuses to let them leave.
The film sports a 40% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: You Should Have Left hints at a genuinely creepy experience, but never quite manages to distill its intriguing ingredients into a consistently satisfying whole.
