THE CONJURING III Moves to June 2021

The Conjuring 3 aka The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga was set to hit theaters this September. But today we have (unsurprising) news it’s been delayed until June 4, 2021.

Mark your calendars.

Warner Bros.’ Toby Emmerich told Variety: “Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen. We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from exhibitors and remain steadfast in our commitment to the theatrical experience around the world. Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to proliferate, causing us to reevaluate our release dates.”

Written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring 2), it follows this synopsis: A chilling story of terror, murder, and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It hits theaters on June 4, 2021.
