Nope! Human-Child-Sized Bat Photographed in The Philippines

A bat the size of a six-year-old child and a wingspan of five and a half feet has been photographed in the Philippines–and I may never leave home again! We’re talking buckets of “Nope!” right here!

The nightmares to follow come courtesy of Twitter user Alex (@AlexJoestar622) who shared the images.

Thankfully, this specific breed of bat (officially known as the giant golden-crowned flying fox) is only found in the Philippines. Still, the dread these pictures induce knows no borders! What makes this especially frightening (and slightly ironic) is that since suggests COVID-19 was first transmitted to humans by bats. The horror!

What do you think of these pictures of a giant golden-crowned flying fox? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram! You can also carry on the convo with me personally on Twitter @josh_millican.
